Incredibly similar to Borlotti Beans, these organic pinto beans are great for adding to recipes such as soups, stews, homemade beans on toast, tasty dips and countless more recipes from across Europe and far beyond! Whilst they do look similar to each other, Borlotti and Pinto beans are not identical, they both offer a warm flavour but are different in colour. Belonging to the Phaseolus vulgaris family, which is a group of beans which include kidney beans and black beans just to name a few. When these beans are cooked, they turn a rose/pink colour and have a fantastic creamy texture. The translation of Pinto Beans in Spanish is "speckled beans" and it is the most grown bean in Mexico.
