Arches Aquarelle is a top quality 100% cotton watercolour paper. The use of traditional mould-made manufacturing techniques makes it harmonious with a grain close to handmade paper. Fibres are evenly distributed, making the paper more stable and restricting deformation. Thanks to its dimensional stability the paper the paper to retain its original size and shape when exposed to changes in moisture content. A unique gelatine stock-sizing technique is used on Arches watercolour paper enabling it to withstand scraping and show colours at their best. Arches watercolour paper is permanent, in compliance with the ISO 9706 standard, and is treated to resist mould. It is naturally white, containing no optical brightener additives. It thus offers an optimal longevity.
