Aquatec's 6800 Series Pumps, designed for RO systems with up to 50 GPD, function best when feed pressure is below 40 psi. High Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) levels necessitate a booster pump, as increased osmotic pressure demands greater force for RO water production. Proper RO operation relies on adequate pressure. These pumps are engineered to work optimally with a tank shut-off switch (PSW), which halts the booster pump once the RO tank is full. In typical under-counter RO systems, this switch can be enhanced with an electronic shut-off valve (ESO), automatically closing the feed water source when the RO storage tank is full.
