D.F. Haynes “Real Ivory” earthenware collection was founded in 1882 and made from Baltimore MD’s local sources of clay (one of the Chesapeake Pottery brands).
“Haynes Ware” was modeled after Victorian majolica.
Of the rare DF Haynes pieces that exist in the wild and have sold, 3 pitchers sold for $200 (approx $66 each) with the last one being the same line as this platter (ie, Real Ivory).
