WE ARE PROUD U.S. Navy brats. My dad’s ship was named after Stephen W. Groves, a heroic F4F pilot from the battle of Midway (a military response to the attack on Pearl Harbor). To honor the lost of WWII we named our coffees after landmarks of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. American Joe is grown less than an hour away from many of these American landmarks, on U.S. soil and then small-batch roasted to perfection in Kansas City, MO. At American Joe Coffee, we are committed to providing American made and American grown coffee products. To keep this commitment we offer 100% American grown and sourced coffee and also a line of blended coffee containing 51% American grown beans. The lesser portion of our blends (49%) are sourced from ally nations in good standing with America and they have a U.S. domestic content threshold of at least 75%, in compliance with the Buy America Act. • NO SCISSORS NEEDED: No more cutting the bag open and rolling the ends closed with wire or clips. To open your bag, locate the zipper pull strip on the rear of the bag, at the top. You will see a recessed tab on the far left that looks like a tiny key. Pop that out, grab and pull across the face of the bag and Voila, we have an open bag of coffee. If you look into the bag you will notice an inner sliding channel zipper similar to a sandwich bag. Just slide and pinch it close to seal your bag.
