Oh, if these could speak. The history is rich in this pair. Paint patina matches up between the pair. Even in the nooks and crannies. Even wear on the feet. The top disks show decades of use with metal candle holders which would rest upon the spike. There are a few little bore holes on each piece.
One had a replaced leg, but earlier on it seems - the base shows much wear and it is a perfectly hand carved replacement from the same wood type. One stick has a flaw at the top, but it seems to be under the original paint.
