The only component on your compressor, that never stops moving, is your clutch and most failures are the clutch NOT the compressor. Why spend $100.00's to replace the compressor when for less than $100.00 you can replace the Clutch only? If you have basic mechanical skills you can do it by yourself without dealing with the Refrigerant.
