An A/C compressor CLUTCH is an external unit and has nothing to do with the refrigerant. Therefore, you can save $100’s if you have some mechanical skills, and can replace the clutch by yourself. ----- However, before purchasing or attempting to replace the clutch, diagnose the problem correctly. ----- Insufficient air flow through the condenser, system overcharged or low voltage is causing excessive heat. Excessive heat will cause damage to the clutch. ----- Make sure your Condenser Fan is functioning properly and there is sufficient airflow through the condenser. ----- Make sure your AC system is not overcharged with refrigerant. ----- Make sure you are getting 13.6 volt to the electromagnetic coil at all times even at low RPM. --------------- The Clutch includes;---- a. PULLEY with BEARING pressed-in the pulley and with a friction ring. Since the bearing never stops moving you will receive NSK, top quality bearing. ----- b. FRONT PLATE. ----- c. Electromagnetic COIL (Latest Design) with a connector for perfect fit. .... d. All HARDWARE needed. .... Must match our specifications to fit correctly and function as designed.
