81467 Cylinder Removal Tool for Kwikset Levers & Knobs 4-Pack, Directions Tool for Removing Lock Cylinder from Door Knob

For Kwikset Model number 81467-003 Operating Procedures 1. Detach the lock side knob from the rest of the handset. 2. Use the pointy end of the tool in the end of the rod to turn it to the middle. This is the lock/unlock mechanism and it has to be halfway for the rod to come out. 3. Using the tip of a needlenose pluers, push firmly on the spring inside the handle around the base where the rod goes into the knob mechanism. Push on the sides with more spring. The rod should slide out easily. If not, check that the rod is turned halfway and make sure you are pushing firmly on the correct sides with more spring. 4. After the rod is out, use push the other end of the tool (with the two prongs) into the hole the rod came out of, so that one side is pushing open the little tab that covers the slot end of the opening. 5. Push the tool in firmly to grab and detach the two spring clips inside so the lock mechanism pops out the front of the handle. 6. Turn the lock 180 degrees and click it back into place. 7. Push the rod back into the other side. If the tab causes trouble, try to push it up out of the way with the tool as you slide the rod in.
