Vintage set of 1847 Rogers Bros. triple plated flatware in the “Old Colony 1911” pattern.
Stamped XS TRIPLE ~ each piece is TRIPLE PLATED with 3x the silver content as ordinary silverplate.
This elegant pattern was first introduced in 1911 and discontinued in 1973. It was one of the most popular silverplate patterns of the 20th century and is in great demand today.
59 PIECES:
12 knives (2 blades are shaped slightly differently than the others)
6 salad forks, 5 dinner forks, 8 relish forks
8 teaspoons, 6 tablespoons, 5 soup spoons
7 butter knives, 2 spreading knives
In nice vintage condition, with evidence of wear, including scratches, discoloration, and mild tarnish, all consistent with age. A couple knife handles are dented. A tine on one salad fork is slightly bent. Please observe all photos.
