Product Description The 3M E-A-R Classic Plus Metal Detectable Corded Earplugs, Hearing Conservation, feature a stainless steel bead inside the earplug and metal powder in the cord to make both the ear plug and cord detectable for food processing and other industries where it is critical to keep earplugs from contaminating products and processes. . These earplugs seal the earcanal with soft, slow-recovery foam for excellent noise reduction and reliable hearing protection. These earplugs are commonly used in the food and beverage manufacturing, agriculture, chemical production, healthcare, oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals industries. These earplugs have a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 33 dB, CSA Class AL. However, research suggests that many users will receive less noise reduction than indicated by the NRR due to variation in earplug fit, earplug fitting skill, and motivation of the user. It is recommended that the NRR be reduced by 50% to better estimate typical workplace protection. These earplugs are test compatible with the 3M E-A-Rfit Validation System.
