Designed for rectangular flue openings up to 27" x 13", the plug is slightly oversized to create a snug compression fit that helps reduce drafts, outside odors, dust, and debris entering through an unused fireplace flue. The double-layer felt construction provides a thicker, denser seal, while the telescopic metal removal rod makes it easier to insert, position, and remove when needed. The rod adjusts from 16" to 60" for added convenience, and the felt can be trimmed slightly for compatible rectangular openings. Important: This product is for unused fireplaces only. Always remove the plug before lighting a fire. Not for actively vented gas fireplaces, active fire use, or round flues. Please measure the inside flue opening before ordering to ensure proper fit.
