Each gel pack weighs approximately 16 ounces (about 1 lb) and measures about 6½″ × 6″ × 1″ Supplied as a 2-pack (i.e., two of these gel packs) Freezer time: You must allow sufficient time to freeze them completely (manufacturer suggests at least ~3 days in some sources) before use. If you try to use them partially frozen you won’t get full benefit. They won’t last “ice forever” — the performance (“over 12 days” for example) depends on insulation, ambient temperature, how often the cooler is opened, etc. Real-world use may give shorter duration. Not designed for direct application to skin (at least for this product’s original purpose). The user manual states “DO NOT APPLY TO BODY” (because the pack may become very cold and/or the film isn’t designed for direct medical contact). Disposal: Even though the gel is non-toxic, the manufacturer advises you not to pour the gel down drains as it may clog pipes; instead dispose according to local guidelines.
