The Bishop, a British self-propelled artillery vehicle, was based on the Valentine tank and equipped with a 25-pounder gun-howitzer. It could fire 87.6 mm (3.45 in) high-explosive shells or armor-piercing rounds. A hurriedly developed design, it faced several issues, was produced in limited quantities, and was eventually superseded by improved models.
