• Crankshaft pulley transmits the engine power to key accessories such as generator, water pump, air conditioning compressor and steering booster pump through one or more belts to ensure the normal operation of each system of the whole vehicle.
• By restraining the torsional vibration of the crankshaft, the pulley helps to maintain the smooth operation of the engine and reduce the jitter, thus improving the ride comfort and NVH (noise, vibration and acoustic vibration roughness) performance of the engine.
• When the engine is working, it will produce severe torsional vibration. Through the internal rubber layer or hydraulic resistance device, this component can effectively absorb and offset these harmful vibrations and protect the crankshaft and the whole engine.
• If it is not used to reduce vibration, the continuous torsional vibration will be transmitted to the whole crankshaft connecting rod mechanism, which may lead to fatigue fracture of crankshaft, tooth jumping or damage of timing system and premature wear of bearings in the long run, thus protecting the core components of the engine.
